In order to be eligible for the class you must be 16 no later than the last day of a particular session. This date will also be shared on morning announcements. Classes historically meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in room 116. Summer classes meet from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. It is a state regulation that a student may not miss more than two classes or four hours of class time. If this should occur the student must leave this class. Sport schedules, work obligations and family vacation time should be considered before signing up for a class. As with any other co-curricular activity if a student is absent from school he may not attend Driver’s Education Class that day. The Program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and runs approximately 10 weeks. A parent or guardian is required to attend the first forty-five minutes of the first class.

Currently the cost of the class is $660.00. Tuition is non-refundable, payable to the Inter-Lakes School District and must be returned with the permission slip. The deadline for returning the permission slip will be shared on morning announcements and be noted on the permission slip as well. There are no exceptions to returning the permission slip by the deadline. There are numerous students on a waiting list to attend these classes.
