Pre-School News

preschoolThe preschoolers recently enjoyed field trips to Moulton Farm where they rode through the fields on a tractor ride, toured the farm store and saw the many different kinds of pumpkins that are sold. Bumpy, roly pumpkins have been a recent theme in class as the students learned how giant pumpkins are grown, painted paper pumpkins using red and yellow paint, carved pumpkins into Jack O' Lanterns, found words that begin with “Pp” and numbered pumpkins from 1 to 5 for the song “Five Little Pumpkins.”

The students tried out toasted pumpkin seeds and illustrated a thank-you book to give to Moulton Farm. The children are now learning about Halloween as they assemble black cats and “Crankenstein” monsters and complete a “Who's Behind the Door?” story. Next, they will learn about  hibernating animals.
