BlueWave Broadcasters

broadcastersMrs. DeCamp, our technology integrator, has started a new club called the Blue Wave Broadcasters. There are approximately fourteen students from grades six and three who are working with Mrs. DeCamp. This group of young people have been learning a wealth of technological skills as they report news around our school.
Every year, the Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference is held in the State of New Hampshire. It is an opportunity for educators to present and learn about some of the best practices related to technology education. Part of the conference was a student STEAM Showcase. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Mrs. DeCamp took five sixth grade Blue Wave Broadcasters to share the process of how they create their newscasts to the STEAM Showcase.

3. people learn best when their intellectual, social, and physical needs are met, where students feel supported in a structured and collaborative environment.

4. active commitment of family, community and schools is essential for a quality learning experience.
